About Us
What is WordFlow?
WordFlow is a free writing companion built for anyone who works with words. Whether you're drafting an essay, writing a blog post, or editing content — WordFlow helps you count words, characters, sentences, and more as you type.
No sign-ups. No ads. Your draft stays on your device for counting; pages use Google Analytics for aggregate traffic only. Details in our privacy policy.
Why we built this
Most word counters online are bloated with ads, pop-ups, and trackers. We wanted something simple — a tool that loads fast, works offline-ish, and just counts words without getting in the way. WordFlow was born out of that frustration.
We're students and developers who write daily. We built what we wished existed.
What makes WordFlow different
- Fast and focused. Real-time word counts, reading time, and keyword extraction — no bloat.
- Writing stays local. Word counting runs in your browser; your draft isn't sent to us for processing. Site pages load Google Analytics for traffic stats only.
- No account required. Open the site and start typing. That's it.
- Source on GitHub. The entire codebase is on GitHub. Fork it, improve it, make it yours.
- Lightweight. No frameworks, no heavy dependencies — vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
The team
WordFlow is maintained by a small group of contributors. The project is led by Ayaan and is open to anyone who wants to help.
Want to contribute? Check out the GitHub repo, open an issue, or submit a pull request. Every contribution — code, design, bug reports — is welcome.
